Jan 25, 2018 · Having Ubuntu boot to Kodi directly without a window manager in the past was a bad idea. It was also hard to run Kodi from the command line in the past without Kodi-embedded Linux. The only easy way to have Ubuntu boot to Kodi directly without the desktop environment was by running Kodi full-screen in a window manager.
