BSOD Vista Installation. (AI Overclocking) on the mobo had to be set to manual in order for vista 64 to boot. im going to try this later on and see if it works and ill update it on here, if you are having trouble booting vista 64 on an asus mobo, particularly this one, try changing the Ai overclocking to manual.

I just had the same problem today, bsod while staring up vista hp 32b or win 7 64b on my Acer Aspire 5920G. There was some really important stuff on the machine so I started to unscrew it to remove the harddrive (for backup purposes). And I came acros a small card connected to a pci-e (I gues) port.

Else left the hardware not installed after rollback or uninstall. Rename back the royal.bck located in \Windows\System32\Drivers\ folder to royal.sys. Restart the computer, and Vista should no longer has BSOD and will still be activated.
